Construction works for two classroom blocks and a Lab launched at Kakomo.Tobias Habasa

Kabale district authorities, on Friday commissioned construction works for the classroom blocks and a science laboratory at Kakomo secondary school in Kitumba sub county of Kabale district. The, works will be undertaken by Geses-U ltd at a tune of 224 million shillings.
Launching the construction works, the Kabale district LCV Chairperson, Nelson Nshangabasheija, warned the contractor to desist from shoddy work and ensure that work is finished on time.
The Kabale district chief administrative officer, Edmond Ntimba, also implored the contractor to ensure value for money. He also observed that when schools reopen next year, they intend to carry out an analysis to ensure teacher-learner ratio and improve on academic performation.
The Kabale district education officer, Moses Tumwijukye Bwengye, implored the school administration to start looking for learners and improve on the school enrollment. He also called for improvement in academic performance. Tumwijukye’s remarks followed those of the school head teacher, Dickson Aguma, who said that the school, has an enrollment of 185 students. Aguma, however expressed optimism that, the new structure, will help them to attract more learners.
The GESES-U Ltd executive director, Eng Peter Nkurunungi, promised to ensure quality work and also adhere to the specifications of the project.
