Kabale receives 7,206 doses of Covid-19 Vaccines.Tobias Habasa

Kabale district has received 6,360 and 846 dozes of AstraZeneca and Sinavac vaccines respectively, as the district continues to battle a surge in Covid-19 cases.
Paddy Mwesigye, the Kabale district Assistant Health Officer-in-Charge of Child and Maternal Health, says that the National Medical stores delivered the vaccines on Tuesday evening.
Mwesigye adds that the 846 vaccines are meant to cater for people who had received their first dose and are due for their second jab, while the 6360 vaccines will also cater for both the people who are due for their second jabs and the ones, set to receive their first dose.
According to the acting Kabale district health officer, Alfred Besigensi, the district recorded 131 new covid-19 cases on Tuesday 04th January 2022, out of 218 test samples collected. There are 771 active cases in the district with 39 in admitted in hospitals and 732 under Home based care.
