End users of Government projects implored to join the fight against Shoddy work.

The Kabale Deputy Resident District commissioner, Christopher Aine has implored end user of government projects to always report contractors, who do shoddy work so that they are dealt with accordingly.

Aine make the call today while speaking at the launch of construction works for a multipurpose at Ndorwa Secondary school in Kabale Municipality. The construction works are being undertaken by trejing Engineering Services Ltd at tune of 285million shillings

He noted that its high time that direct beneficiaries of government project, come out to report shoddy works on all government projects, if the government is to realize value for money being realized on these projects.

Speaking the same handover, the Kabale District Vice Chairperson, Miria Akankwasa Tugume, also implored the contractor and his casual laborers to respect and give a conducive learning environment to the learners so that their academic term is not interrupted.

The Kabale District deputy chief Administrative officer, Robert Mugabe, expressed the district’s commitment to ensuring that equitable service delivery is realized by all the people in the district.

The Ndorwa SS headteacher, Ismail Kafeero noted that the multipurpose hall has come in at the right time, since the school has been operating with a hall, which was hindering their operations.

According to the Ag Kabale District Education Officer, Moses Tumwijukye Bwengye, the funds for project were got from transitional Development Adhoc.

The District leaders also later handed over phase one of the construction works of a dining hall at St Mary’s College Rushoroza, which was valued at 300 million shillings.
