Kabale District Council Approves a 601 Million Shillings Supplementary Budget.

Kabale District Council has today approved a supplementary budget of 601,925,622 Ugandan Shillings.
The motion for the approval of the supplementary budget was tabled by Bridget Asinga Tumwesigye, the secretary for Finance, Planning, Administration, Works and Technical services before it was unanimously approved by the council that was presided over by the District Speaker, Flavia Nyinakiiza Kanagizi.
According to Asinga, who also the Kyanamira Sub County District Female Councilor, the breakdown of the funds includes, 65,772,667 million shillings for development activities, 296,775,498 million shillings as unspent UGIFT balances to cater for the purchase of irrigation kits under Micro-Scale Irrigation program, 7,907,168 million shillings as unspent balances for retention payment of construction of staff house at Karujuanga HCIII, 121,703,166 as unspent balances to cater for retention payment of facilities at Kakomo secondary school and Rukore Highschool and 109,767,133 Million Shillings as unpsent balances to cater for the construction of Karujanga Gravity Flow Scheme.
Speaking during the same council sitting, the Kabale District LCV Chairperson, Nelson Nshangabasheija commended the cooperation that exists between both the technical staff and political wing, which he said has facilitated development.
