New member of Kabale District service commission sworn in.

Mr Odomaroh Arigye Mugonjo, has been sworn in as a member of the Kabale District Service commission.
Arigye tooth the oath of a member of the District Service commission-Kabale, on 31st January 2023, presided over by the Kabale Grade one Magistrate, Pascal Olupot.
The Public service commission approved Arigye’s appointment as a member of the commission in a meeting held on Wednesday 14th December 2022 in accordance to Article 198 (2) of the constitution of the republic of Uganda and section 54 (2) of the Local Government Act Cap 243.
Arigye, who is the retired Ntungamo district education officer, was approved as a member of the District service commission in October 2021, together with Mary Tushabe, who set to represent persons with disabilities. The two were meant to replace, Christine Byabagambi and Wycliff Mugisha, whose contracts after serving two mandatory terms.
However, according to the Kabale Chief Administrative officer, Tushabe’s appointment to the commission, was not approved by the public service commission.
