The Kabale District Health Officer, Dr Gilbert Arineitwe Mateeka said that the money will be used to construct accommodation and out-patient blocks at the facility. He expressed optimism that the infrastructure improves to the standard; it will help to improve the provision of health services to people visiting the facility.

The District Deputy Speaker, Ronald Mugisha asked the office of DHO and district engineer to ensure that money is put into good use.

Early this year, during a monitoring to the facility, Kabale district Health monitoring team ordered for the demolition of a three roomed temporary staff house at the facility because of being in a dilapidated state. The building was built in early 2000.

According to Dr Arineitwe, the facility has 37 health staff with only three staff who are accommodated at the facility which makes health services at the facility difficult.
