Kabale Leaders vow to fight against Shoddy work.

The Kabale District LCV Chairperson, Nelson Nshangabasheija, has vowed to intensify monitoring and supervision of government projects so as to reduce on cases of shoddy work in the district.

Nshangasheija made the vow on Wednesday, while speaking at the launch of the construction works for a twin staff house at Kitooma Health Centre III in Rubaya sub county of Kabale District. The construction is expected to cost 177,062,440 shillings and will be undertaken by Kinombe Nyaruzinga construction co. Ltd.

 

 

Nshangabasheija, vowed that they have intensified supervision after realizing shoddy works on some projects.

He also said that the twin staff house will provide enough accommodation to health workers to reduce on cases of absenteeism.

Speaking at the same launch, the Kabale Deputy Resident District commissioner, Ronald Bakak, also retaliated that the district is currently a no go zone for contractors who do shoddy works, adding that they will not hesitate to cause the blacklisting of such contractors.
