Heavy rains render several roads impassable in Kabale District.

By Alex Byakatonda   Communications officer-Kabale The ongoing heavy rains have worsened the state of several roads and bridges in Kabale district, paralyzing transport. The most affected roads include Kabale-Lake Bunyonyi, Katuna-Rubaya-Muko, Buramba-Rwemihanga, Kagoma-Katete-Nkora, Kibuga-Bushanira-Karujanga, Kabanyonyi-Karweru-Maziba, Kahondo-Maziba and Katukura-Karambwe-Rwanda Border roads. Others roads are Kaharo-Nkumbura, Kyobugombe-Kicence, Konyo-Nyamwerambiko, Kekubo-Kanyankwazi, Kakumbwa-Kihanga and Harutindo-Kakooko roads among others. Some of the bridges that were destroyed include; Old Kabale-Katokye, Rwenkima-Kitibya, Kyanamira-Katokye and Rwakashande-Katokye among others.
